Cerro de las Mitras is an iconic mountain range 20 km long and 2,060
meters above sea level, part of the Sierra Madre Oriental in the Monterrey Metropolitan Area.
Named for its peaks that resemble bishop’s mitres, it is a protected natural area
popular for extreme hiking and caving, particularly known for its high-altitude
mountaineering routes.
