Cerro El Potosí is a mountainanda state-protected natural areainthe municipality of Galeana; at 3,721 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak in the state of Nuevo León.
You’ll enjoy a hiking tour with breathtaking views as you pass through the vast green forest, which—due to the altitude—is denser on the mountain’s slopes and sparser as you approach the summit. As you make your way to the summit, the ecosystem shifts to the remains of trees that, years after a fire, still stand in the area like a natural graveyard.
This route is ideal for high-altitude training.
