The MXMF, now known as CACIQUE METAL FEST, is one of Latin America’s most important metal festivals, renowned for bringing together legendary bands and offering a unique experience for fans of the genre. From its inception in 2016 through its most recent edition held in 2024, the festival has shown remarkable growth in terms of lineup, attendance, and international prominence.
Currently regarded as Mexico’s premier metal festival and, according to music critics, considered the most extreme festival in Latin America, it welcomes thousands of attendees from various countries across the Americas and Europe every year, reaffirming its status as the premier annual gathering for lovers of extreme music.
On October 18 at Parque Ferrocarrilero in Monterrey, the Sultana del Norte will reverberate with the heaviest riffs and the fury of a horde thirsty for metal in all its forms, where artists such as Blood Fire Death, Thy Catafalque, Grave, Yoth Iria, Cryptosis, and more to be announced will take the stage on the now-classic twin stages, as well as on the Trve Stage, a favorite among many.
