Linares Magical Town

Its current name comes from its old name of Villa de San Felipe de Linares, founded on April 10, 1712. Linares is located southeast of the city of Monterrey, in the Coastal Plain region of the Gulf. It is located in the south central part of the state of Nuevo Leon, under the coordinates 24º51′ north latitude and 99º24′ west longitude, 350 meters above sea level. Its limits are to the north of Hualahuises and Montemorelos; to the south and east of the state of Tamaulipas and to the west of Galeana and Iturbide.
