Muscera

The building in which the wax museum of Monterrey ‘Muscera’ is located. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century, between 1900 and 1902. It was used as a warehouse for wooden models or molds of different shapes and sizes, and samples were taken from them to build different pieces of steel, such as railroad wheels, bolts, different screws, gears, and other tools. Currently, you can see some of these pieces on display at the headquarters of what is now the Wax Museum of Monterrey. In Muscera you will learn about the making of a wax sculpture, they feature six rooms with different themes distributed over two floors: History, Children’s World, Fine Arts, Sports, Scary Zone, Shows, and Crazy Mirrors.
