Higueras Lagoon, Higueras History Museum

Higueras is located in the northeastern part of the state of Nuevo León, in the Gulf Coastal Plain region, 56 kilometers from the city of Monterrey. It borders Sabinas Hidalgo to the north and Salinas Victoria to the south; Dr. González and Marín to the east; Agualeguas and Cerralvo to the west; and General Zuazua and Ciénega de Flores to the west. Elevation above sea level: 490 meters.
