Susana Alexander's Farewell Season. A tree, a son, an octogenarian woman. A love story. Dear audience:
Last year I turned 80, and I decided I wanted to do a meaningful play with which to bid farewell to the theater, leaving something memorable in the hearts of the audience. I bid farewell to the theater seasons with a play that seems to have been written for me, so that I could lend my voice to so many older people whose children, with the best of intentions, believe they are doing the right thing by taking their parents to a nursing home or retirement community, as they are now called. Alejandra and Carlos are two endearing characters who will make you laugh and move you through this journey of love that unites them—a journey that leaves no viewer indifferent and leaves you with no choice but to immediately identify with one of them. I take you by the hand and invite you on this journey through love and beauty. And as I always say: Thank you for the miracle of your presence.
Sincerely, SUSANA ALEXANDER
