Marín—this name was chosen in honor of the most illustrious Dr. Primo Feliciano Marín de Porras, chaplain to the King of Spain and a native of the town of Tamarrón in the Archdiocese of Burgos. He was consecrated in Morelia (1802) and, a few months later, came to take up his high office. He led his diocese for twelve years and died in this city in 1815.
