Norma Monserrat Bustamante Laferte (Viña del Mar, May 2, 1983), known as Mon Laferte, is a Chilean-Mexican singer-songwriter. She plays various instruments and is known for blending numerous styles and genres such as ballads, pop, and alternative rock. In her early career, she was influenced by heavy metal—primarily due to her time as a singer between 2012 and 2014 with the bands Mystica Girls and Abaddon—as well as bolero, waltz, cumbia, reggae, and ska, among others.
