The museum chronicles the development of industrialization in our state, dating back to 1854
. It was designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Institute of Anthropology and History
, as it is the oldest industrial facility in Nuevo
León, restored to its original condition.
The museum’s eight galleries offer a tour of the region from various perspectives: anthropological, geological, and historical, as well as an interesting examination of that social phenomenon that shook the country at the turn of the century: the cult of Niño Fidencio.
